Praises This Week

God has been and is being so SO good to me!

I was on the verge of falling again, but He reached for me and pulled me out of deep waters. Immediately after which, I saw that there was work He needed to get done. If not for God putting His confidence in me, I would NOT have been able to do His work and my labor would have been in vain!

This week has been filled with miracles and God's divine hand in every single activity in my life.

First of all, on Tuesday, this little kid randomly spam-messaged me on Facebook. I was so tempted to write him off as an irritating brat, but I felt God gently reminding me to love others. On top of that, I was prompted to ask ZJ (this little kid) whether he'd heard of Jesus before. One thing led to another, and that very same night, I had a short bible study with him and prayed with him to accept Jesus as his lord and saviour. I wasn't sure if his decision was genuine, but the very next day, ZJ messaged me to ask if we could have another bible study! He continued to read the book of Job on his own and I was really amazed to see God working in his heart despite my doubts.

Another skater friend of mine has been going through difficult times. I've been praying for him and asking God to change his heart.

While I am doubtful at times, God is faithful to answer my prayers. He has shown me that with even just a little mustard seed of faith, God can do wonders. Nothing is impossible for Him! Hallelujah!

New Post

Hello!

Has it really been that long since my last post? For some reason, it doesn't feel like that much time has gone by. Yet so many things have happened since then.

First things first, I got an internship!

It's been going well and I've been enjoying it so far. Most importantly, I am just so grateful that God has given me an opportunity to do SOMETHING now besides eating and sleeping! The best part is, two floors below my office, there's a Christian bookstore that I can go to during my lunchtime. I checked it out this morning and bought a CD already.

I have no idea where this is going, but I trust that the Lord will direct my steps. As long as I lean on His understanding and not mine, He will make my path straight!

As for other areas of life- I had a big fight with my mom last week but we are doing very well now. I am trying my best to communicate with her as much as I can and she is doing the same as well. There is no more friction left hanging in the air even though we are both very busy and only see each other maybe fifteen minutes each day.

Also, I've been facing tremendous temptation since two weeks ago. All of a sudden, I felt like a lot of things were thrown in my face. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and scared that I would fall to it, but I was greatly encouraged on Sunday by Mrs. Hane (house Bible study's host's wife...). I know a lot of temptation may come my way to try to snatch me out of God's hands, but He is not going to test me beyond what I can handle. And most importantly, He will be right there with me when I am being tested.

This coming Friday, I have to go to a fancy club for work. Of all places! It's going to be a networking sort of thing and I am hoping that it will turn out well. However, I'm also getting the feeling that I am about to walk into the lions' den. I don't know what's ahead of me, but I can only pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will go on ahead and clear the way.

Life is really really picking up.

It's so weird. One moment, I'm lying in bed all day. The next, I hardly have time to breathe.

But I have peace from the Prince of Peace :)

Neverending

Paper after paper after paper...

These few weeks are just blending into one super long week that never seems to end!

Just when I thought I could sit back and relax a bit, the next big paper arrives. Why does everyone else get nice little three page papers while I get ten and twenty pagers? Even five pages don't seem very much anymore. Five pagers are like chicken nuggets.

I want to sleep, I want to run, I want to rollerblade, I want to hang out and play soccer and swim. I want to do most everything BUT write these papers. And to be honest right now, I just want to breathe without a trail of papers hanging over my head.

Even though I got to spend this weekend hanging out with some trackies, I didn't really enjoy myself because the other half of my mind was constantly thinking about the homework I had to get done. While everyone else was watching TV, I was reading my chapter on law. I was completely regretting inviting everyone over the weekend and felt bad if I had to cancel all of our plans that we had made in advance.

Ok Mindy.

School is a luxury. Work is a lot more stressful and harder than this. Just get through this and when summer comes you can take the well-deserved break you want!

Yes... That's what I tell myself...

But at the back of my head is a little voice that says: if you don't play now, by the time you graduate, you won't have any time to do all the stuff you want to do.

AHH! GO AWAY VOICE!

Dear God, instead of blogging, I know I should be finishing my essay. Instead of harping on other people's faults, I should be concerned only with my own. Instead of bringing up the past, I should be living in the present. Instead of daydreaming, I should be working to reap a harvest. Give me more grace! In Jesus' name I pray, help me who has no other source of help but You. Amen!

Wow... I am such a complainer... And a great excuse-maker.

I should really just Stop. And Write.
