Would you believe it? In all my years of learning Chinese, no one has ever told me that you were supposed to write the characters as close to each other in size as possible before!
No wonder my characters have always been lopsided. One character would be longer than the next, or fatter, or shorter. Anyway, I never got it right and I had no idea why.
My dad finally told me this recently as he watched me write my own name.
After twenty-two years no less!
